ABOUT / who we are & what we do

Salsa @ City Hall is a free weekly Latin dance event happening on Wednesday evenings from July 3 until August 28 at the Ottawa City Hall. We will be outdoors on the Rink of Dreams if the weather is good, and indoors (Jean Pigott Place) otherwise.

The evening starts with a dance lesson from 6pm to 7pm. Come discover salsa, bachata or kizomba and learn from Ottawa’s best Latin dance instructors! All lessons are beginner-friendly – no dance experience needed! – and you don’t need to bring a partner.

From 7pm to 11pm, we open up the floor to social dancing. Show off your new moves to music selected by the best Latin DJs and meet Ottawa’s friendly Latin dance community!

To spice things up, we will have special guests every week –  get ready for live music by Latin bands and singers, dance shows by local dance troupes, food vendors that will give you a taste of Latin America, and more fun surprises!

Check our Facebook page every week for the latest details!

Salsa @ City Hall is brought to you by Azucar! Latin Dance Company, Jose Sandoval Dance and the City of Ottawa.

We also have a fantastic group of volunteers who keep us on the straight and narrow, spread the love of Latin dance all over town, and make sure everything runs smoothly and everyone has fun every single week!
